History Project

Members of the band have embarked on a history project, to research and document the band's past.

The main aims of the project are:

• To gather details of as many contests and concert performances as possible
• To establish and research the links between the collieries and the band between 1886 and 1980
• To find photographic material on the band, uniforms, banners and instruments
• To investigate the band and its association with established events i.e. Northumberland Miners Picnic, CISWO Mineworkers contests
