Brass Band Vacancies

Backworth Colliery Band are an ambitious and progressive lower-section band, based near to Newcastle. The band location is on the A19 corridor, close to Whitley Bay, Wallsend, North Shields and Killingworth. The band is also 400 yards from a metro station, Northumberland Park, and is a short drive from Newcastle city centre.

We also have a flexible approach to membership, with several players in the band happy to move seats if the right players wish to join.

Prospective members are more than welcome to come to one of our practices. We rehearse at the Into Change, Moorside, Station Road, on Tuesday nights and Sunday mornings. We have several instruments that can be loaned if required.
